How to: Order Credit Card Swipe Devices

If you would like to use a swipe device or keypad device to record supporters' credit card data for your organization, CardPointe offers devices compatible with Salsa.

Available devices

IDTECH SREDKey 2: An encrypted keypad that collect credit card information and process purchases made through Salsa CRM.

Please note: The IDTECH SREDKey 2 is only compatible with Salsa CRM and does not integrate with Salsa Engage. Read this article to learn how the SREDKey2 works to help process donations in Salsa CRM.

The SREDKey2 is available for $239 plus shipping (as of September 2022). Charges will be made directly to the account set up for CardPointe billing. 

Ordering a CardPointe swipe device

If you would like to place an order, please contact Salsa Support at [e-mail] and include the following information:

• How many devices you would like to order

• The shipping address, contact email, and phone number for your organization (the default address is your organization’s address on file with CardPointe)

• Whether you would like standard or expedited shipping 

Once your order is submitted, Salsa Support can provide an order number for your records.

Additionally, all CardPointe users have access to the Virtual Terminal, an online point-of-sale system that enables you to collect credit card information and process purchases through any web browser.

Other devices, including those available through Stripe and other providers, do not directly integrate with Salsa CRM. If you would like to use a third-party device or the Virtual Terminal, you will have to export any data collected and manually import it into your Salsa database for recordkeeping.
